The much-anticipated Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 kicked off in a grand fashion on Sunday (July 30), with Jaffna Kings (JK) defeating Colombo Strikers (CS) in the opening game. The second match of the fourth edition of LPL will now witness Galle Titans (GT) take Dambulla Aura (DA) at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Monday (July 31).
It is worth mentioning that the two teams have strong and star-studded squads comprising a few popular players. GT will be led by talented Dasun Shanaka in the LPL 2023, while wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis will be the captain of the DA.
Galle-based team has acquired the services of many star performers, such as Tim Seifert, Ben Cutting, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Chad Bowes and much more. Meanwhile, DA have also roped in a few popular faces in the form of Dhananjaya de Silva, Lungi Ngidi, Matthew Wade, Noor Ahmad, Shahnawaz Dahani and others into their team.
Both GT and DB will be determined to start their campaign on a high note.
