Despite the early dismissal of Jos Buttler, Rajasthan Royals maintained their dominance throughout the game and sealed the victory with more than six overs to spare.
In the first innings, Yuzvendra Chahal put up an impressive performance, claiming four wickets and restricting KKR to 149/8 in 20 overs. Venkatesh Iyer was the highest scorer for KKR with 57 runs off 42 balls, while Trent Boult picked up two crucial wickets. RR skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl first at Eden Gardens. KKR Openers Jason Roy and Rahmanullah Gurbaz failed to capitalize on their starts and got dismissed early on. Nitish Rana also couldn’t make the most of his inning and got out after scoring 22 runs. Chahal’s consistent form with the ball helped Rajasthan Royals clinch a comprehensive victory.
