Lucknow Super Giants skipper and India batter KL Rahul has ruled himself out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season and the ICC World Test Championship final against Australia. Rahul had sustained an injury against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 1 (Monday). He will now undergo thigh surgery.
Rahul confirmed the development through a lengthy post on Instagram. In his absence, Krunal Pandya will take over the captaincy of the Lucknow franchise just the way he did against Chennai Super Kings in the team’s last match.
