RCB vs KKR, MATCH 36 – TATA IPL 2023: KKR maintains their dominance over RCB

It was the second time Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in the TATA IPL 2023. Earlier, RCB won the toss and elected to bowl first. Skipper KKR, Nitish Rana played the anchor role and scored 48 runs off 21 balls with 4 sixes and 3 fours while Jason Roy scored 56 runs. Wanindu Hasaranga and Vyshak Vijay Kumar took 2 wickets each for RCB.

In response, RCB got off to a brilliant start but lost wickets at regular intervals. Virat Kohli was the only one who scored a half-century for RCB, scoring 54 runs in 37 balls. Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Karthik scored 34 and 22 runs respectively. RCB could only manage to score 179 runs in 20 overs and failed to close the gap, falling short by 21 runs! Varun Chakaravarthy took 3 wickets for 27 runs for KKR and was awarded the player of the match.
