Dilshan guides to win over Bangladesh Legends

Skipper Thilakaratne Dilshan made good all round performance as Sri Lanka Legends recorded 70 runs win over Bangladesh Legends in their Road Safety world cricket series match played at Raipur, India yesterday.

Sri Lanka Legends made challenging total of 213 for 5 wickets in their 20 overs but Bangladesh Legends were managed to get 143 for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Off spinner Dilshan who hit a fine knock of 51 in 30 balls once again performed with the ball taking 3 for 26 to earn the Man of the Match award.

Earlier Sri Lankan Legends openers Mahela Udawatte 43 in 27 balls with two fours and three sixes and experienced Sanath Jayasuriya 37 in 25 balls hit 5 fours and a six added 56 runs in 6.2 overs to pave good foundation. Dilshan continued his top form made 51 in 30 balls with seven fours and a six while Chamara Silva an unbeten 34 in 24 balls with 3 fours and a six made good knocks to pass the 200 mark.

Bangladesh in their run chase were 29 for 2 wickets after five overs but Thushar Imran made 52 in 54 balls with 6 fours but that was not enough to reach the target.

Sri Lanka with an unbeaten record already entered the semi finals which will be held today and tomorrow while final will be held on October 1.
