1 gold 8 silver 1 bronze for Sri Lanka at the Indian Para Nationals

Sri Lankan para athletes claimed  I Gold 8 Silver one bronze at the 4th Indian Open Invitational Para Athletics Championship 2022 cheld in Bangalore India.

Para athelete Janani Dhananjana won the one and only gold medal for Sri Lanka .Janani brought this honor by in the Women’s Long jump T45/46 /47 event recording a distance of 5.1m

Thisara Jayasinghe who competed in Women’s F57 discus throw and won a silver medal with a distance of 5.90 m.

Anil Prasanna Jayalath clocked 12.95 in Men’s T42 100 m and won a silver medal for Sri Lanka while Buddika Indrapala gave Sri Lanka a bronze medal in the same event. Buddhika clocked 13.43 seconds.

Nuwan Indika grabbed the silver medal in Men’s T44 100 m with a time of 11.77 seconds and Saman Maduranga Subasinghe gave Sri Lanka its 4th Silver Medal in Men’s T47 400 event. Saman clocked 50.55 seconds

9 para athletes represented Sri Lanka in this competition with the invitation of the Indian Paralympic Committee.
