Two Royals battle for final birth

Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore will square off against each other in the Qualifier 2 match of IPL 2022. The RR vs RCB clash takes place on May 27 (Friday) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Rajasthan Royals is led by Sanju Samson. Rajasthan Royals played 14 matches during the league stage of IPL 2022. Winning 9 matches and losing 5 out of 14, RR earned 18 points in their kitty. Grabbing the 2nd spot in the points table, RR qualified for playoffs.

RCB is led by Faf du Plessis. Royal Challengers Bangalore also played 14 matches during the league stage. Winning 8 games and losing 6, they grabbed 16 points. Bagging the 4th spot in the points table, RCB managed to qualify for playoffs.

In the Qualifier 1 clash, Rajasthan Royals lost to Gujarat Titans by 7 wickets. Batting first in the match, Rajasthan Royals posted a huge total of 188-6 with an 89-run knock by Jos Buttler and a 47-run quickfire by Sanju Samson. However, this total wasn’t big enough for Gujarat, who chased it down in the final over with an unbeaten 68 by David Miller and 40 not-out by Hardik Pandya.

Royal Challengers Bangalore crushed Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator match. Batting first, RCB posted a mammoth total of 207-4 on the board. After losing opener Faf du Plessis for a duck, Rajat Patidar (112*) smacked an impeccable century while Dinesh Karthik added an unbeaten 37.
