I would like to take over as the Chief Cricket Coach – Roshan Mahanama

Roshan Mahanama says that if he is invited to be the head coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team, he will accept it on certain conditions.

Roshan Mahanama, a former player of the Sri Lanka Cricket team and a former match referee of the International Cricket Council made this statement at a TV program held in Colombo .

"If I am asked to take over as the head coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team, I will consider it," he said. I was invited to do it 3 or 4 months ago. But that was not the time to make such a decision. ”

"I took the time to think..is this something I should do. Because I also have some shortcomings. Because I have not worked in a dressing room for the last few years. ”
"I need my team to come anyway. An individual cannot come and do these things. But these problems that I have brought will not be solved. We all need to work together. ”

"The Minister of Sports has a role to play. The people on the cricket board are responsible for what they do. Or these are temporary solutions. ”
“If you leave me to do other work, it will not work. You can't be dragged in different directions .. this journey. ”

He was speaking at the launch of his autobiography by Roshan Mahanama.
