Mohomed Safran won a silver medal in Men’s T46 100m at the Asian Youth Para Games 2021-Bharain. He clocked 13.39 seconds. He is from Arakkala Muslim School, Kekunagolla.
Janani Wickramasinghe secured another Bronze Medal in Girls T47 100m with a time of 13.88 seconds. This is her second Bronze Medal in addition to her Bronze in the 200m. She is a student of Suradutha Balika Vidyalaya, Kuliyapitiya.
Fellow field athlete Jason Jayawardene, and swimmers Galina Basnayake and Naveed Raheem are among the medalists. Sri Lanka’s medal tally is now 6, the best performance so far as the previous highest was 5 medals in 2013.
