Former South African cricket captain Faf Du Plessis has been selected as a foreign player for the Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League cricket tournament.
Man of the match Faf Du Plessis scored 86 off 59 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes in the 2021 IPL final yesterday (15), paving the way for Chennai to clinch the title.
It is reported that the owners of each team have been given permission to select the main foreign player and one more foreign player in their team before selecting the players (Player Draft) for the Lanka Premier League Cricket Tournament this year.
It is reported that Sri Lanka Cricket and IPG, the tournament organizer, have also given permission to select these players.
