Both the England men’s and women’s teams were scheduled to tour Pakistan in October, but the England Cricket Board canceled the tournament due to security concerns.
If the discussions are successful and the Sri Lankan women’s team participates in this tournament, it will be the first international tournament in which the Sri Lankan women’s team will participate after March 2020 and it will be a very important tournament to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
