Romesh takes over Sri Lanka A

Former Sri Lanka fast bowler Rumesh Ratnayake has been appointed as the head coach of the Sri Lanka A team. It is aimed at the forthcoming Sri Lanka A and Pakistan A tournaments.

The official schedule of the tournament was officially announced to the media by Sri Lanka Cricket today (29) and the tournament is scheduled to begin on October 28.

Rumesh Ratnayake has previously been the head coach and bowling coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team. He has previously coached the Sri Lanka A team on two occasions.

He is currently R.C. I work as a fast bowling coach at the Sri Lanka Cricket Center of Excellence established at the Premadasa Stadium.

Sri Lanka will play two four-day matches and three one-day internationals against Pakistan A, and the tourists are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on October 21.

The four-day matches are scheduled to be played in Pallekele and the venues for the ODIs have not yet been officially announced. Most of those matches will be held in Colombo. However, the tournament will be held in a biosafety environment free from spectator participation.
