Praveen Jayawickrama gets T20 cap

The second match of the three-match Twenty20 cricket series between the touring Sri Lanka team and the South African team will be played today (12) at R.R. It will be held at the Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and elected to bat first.

As Sri Lanka lost the first match by 28 runs, the victory in this match is very important for Sri Lanka to stay in the tournament today. Accordingly, Sri Lanka enters this match making two changes.

Accordingly, Kusal Perera and Praveen Jayawickrema have been called up to the Sri Lanka squad for today’s match, replacing Avishka Fernando and Akila Dananjaya. This will be the inaugural Twenty20 match for the veterans and he will go down in history today as the 91st Twenty20 cricketer in the history of Sri Lankan cricket.

The South Africans also made one change, replacing David Miller with Rassie van der Dussen, who scored 26 in the first Twenty20 match.
