With several Sri Lankan players injured in the first Test between the touring Sri Lankan team and the South African team, it is now a matter of speculation as to which team will play in the second Test.

Oshada Fernando and Suranga Lakmal, who were injured, have now recovered and will return for the second Test. Dinesh Chandimal’s participation is currently in limbo and he is likely to be replaced by Minod Bhanuka or youngster Santhush Goonetileke, who has yet to win a Test, if he does not return to fitness before the second Test.

With Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha injured in the first Test, Suranga Lakmal and Dushmantha Chameera will replace them.

The second and final Test between the two sides will be played from January 3 to 7.
