Sri Lanka Emerging beat Bangladesh by seven wickets to win series

Opener  Pathum Nissanka hit a superb unbeaten knock of 115  in 78 balls which guided to Sri Lankan Emerging team to earn a seven-wicket win in D/L Method over Bangladesh in their third and final match of the series in Khulna Bangladesh on Saturday

Bangladesh, invited to bat first, made 269 for five wickets in their allotted 50 overs while Sri Lankan had to get a target of 199 in 28 overs according to the D/L method because of rain. The Lankans reached the target in 24 overs to record 2-1 series victory over Bangladesh.

Nissanka hit eight fours and five sixes while wicket-keeper batsman Minod Bhanuka scored a brisk 55 in 32 balls with five fours and three sixes made an easy to get this target only in 24 overs with seven wickets in hand. Both Nissanka and Bhanuka played the anchor role after the skipper Charith Asalanka was dismissed scoring only 02 runs and co-opener Hasitha Boyagoda getting out for 12 runs.

Earlier for Bangladesh Emerging team opener, Saif Hassan scored a fine knock of 117 runs while Afif Hossian scored an unbeaten 68 to build up their total. Paceman Kalana Perera took 2 for 47 was the most successful Sri Lankan bowler while Shiran Fernando, Ramesh Mendis and Kamindu Mendis shared one wicket apiece. Nissanaka was adjudged man of the match for his superb unbeaten century.

After the 2-1 one day series win Sri Lankan emerging team is expected to two four day games which will commence from 27 th August at Khulna, Bangladesh.
