SLT SpeedUp Cycle Sawariya” Day 2 – Sajith Hasantha reaches the finish line

The winners of day 2 marking the finish line in Balangoda: The winner Sajith Hasantha of Team Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), 1st runner-up Krishan Madusanka of Team Sri Lanka Navy (SL Navy), and 2nd runner-up Udaya Kumara of Team Stefanelli Pilippo Lanka (STPI).

 

SLT SpeedUp Cycle Sawariya started from Matara on its way to Balangoda on 5th September morning. The cyclists travelled through Dikwella, Middeniya, Embilipitiya, Kahawatta, Pelmadulla, to reach Balangoda covering a distance of 160 Km. The contestants reached Balangoda just before 1.30pm on the second day.

 

The third edition of ‘SLT Speed Up Cycle Sawariya’, the longest across the country cycle race organized by Sri Lanka Telecom under the inspection of Cycle Federation of Sri Lanka (CFSL) kicked off at the Galle Face Green. The Men’s race will also marked as the first race running through the famous 18-bend route after a lapse of 15 years.

The winner of the five-day event will receive a cash prize of Rs. one million.
