Boxer Keshani Hansika wins bronze at Indonesian open

“My dream is to take part  at the 2020 Olympics and this bronze will be a boost for Asian Games” Keshani

Keshani Hansika won the bronze medal at the recently concluded  Indonesian open boxing championship in Indonesia. She said this was a perfect preperation for the Asian Games in Jakartha from next 18th August. “I am sure this medal is big boost for the Asian Games. I expect to win another medal at the Asian Games. I knew the boxers like China, Korea, India, and Philippine is very strong but my preparation is very high ” said an affirming Keshani.

Keshani Hansika, a 27 year old boxer from MAS Unichela said during the recently concluded Indonesian championships she had to satisfied with bronze. I was lucky to reach the semi final at 57kg but finally lost to Vietnam boxer at the semi final. This is my second international medal and first one silver won from the Netherlands boxing meet last year. I had to make very tough battle at the semi final this time finally lost to 2-3 with a thrilling finish.” reminishes Keshani.

Chamila Abeyratna and Ravindra Wekadapola were the two coaches with the Sri Lankan team which comprised fellow MAS boxers Anusha Kodituwakku and Thisma Dayaratna.
