The Boxing Association of Sri Lanka has sent three male and three female boxers for the Ulanbatar Cup International Boxing Meet which began early this week in Mongolia in preparation for the Asian Games in Indonesia in August.
The men’s boxers are Thiwanka Ranasinghe – 49Kg, Ishan Bandara 52Kg, Dinudu Saparamadu -64Kg and women boxers Anusha Kodituwakku –51Kg, Keshani Hansika – 57Kg and Krishmi Dharmathilaka – 60kg. Kazakhstan, South Korea, Thailand, China, Mongolia and Iran are also contesting the meet.
Thiwanka Ranasinghe, Ishan Bandara and Dinudu Saparamadu will also travel to Thailand to take part in the Thailand Open meet scheduled to be held from June 29 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Amila Aravinda and Manju Wanniarachi are the coaches in Mongolia and Thailand while Chamila Abeyrathna and Ravindara Wekadapola will perform as the coaches for the Indonesia meet.
