Sri Lanka’s most followed rugby tournament, Clifford Cup knockout championship will kick off this Friday for its 2018 edition with club heavyweights Navy taking on Police Friday 16, at 4.15 p.m. at the Racecourse Grounds.
Last year’s winners Kandy will be the firm favourites after securing the Dialog Rugby League 2017/18 last week.
The contending teams for the Dialog Rugby Clifford Cup 2018 season along with their respective captains: Police SC Captain Rasith Jayanga Silva, CH&FC Captain Rohitha Rajapaksa, CR&FC Captain Kavindu Perera, Havelock SC Captain Jason Shehan Melder, Kandy Captain Gayan Weerarathne, Navy Captain Dulanjana Wijesinghe, Air Force Captain Pushpakumara Smarahewa and Army Captain Thusith Bandara Senanayake.
