Pathum Sampath Weerasinghe of the Sri Lanka Army emerged victorious in the ‘Police Cycling Tour,’ organized to mark the 160th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Police.
This major cycling event—organized for the first time in the history of the Police—covered a total distance of 410 kilometers across three stages.
Pathum Sampath, who won the first stage of the race, also secured victory in the third stage held yesterday, completing the entire event with a time of 9 hours, 46 minutes, and 44 seconds. He was awarded the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Challenge Trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 300,000.
