The final of the premier inter-club women’s one-day cricket tournament, organized by Sri Lanka Cricket, takes place today at the Colts grounds between Baduraliya Sports Club and Panadura Sports Club.
It is noteworthy that two teams from outside Colombo are vying for the championship this year, with the unique aspect being that both Baduraliya and Panadura Sports Clubs hail from the Kalutara District.
The Panadura team, led by Piumi Wathsala, defeated the Air Force team by three wickets in the semi-finals, while the Baduraliya team, led by Sumudu Nisansala, advanced to the final after defeating the Army team by 14 runs in their semi-final match.
