SLC pledges full cooperation over reported Jaffna Kings owner arrest

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) says it will extend its full cooperation to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) for the Prevention of Offences Relating to Sports following reports of the arrest of the Jaffna Kings franchise owner.

SLC stated that the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026 will proceed as scheduled and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and unethical practices.

The governing body added that its Anti-Corruption Unit is working with the SIU, while independent integrity specialists have also been engaged to support the tournament.
