Marsh’s century powers LSG to crucial win over RCB in rain-hit IPL match

Chasing a revised DLS target of 213 in a rain-curtailed contest, Royal Challengers Bengaluru were restricted to 203/6, handing bottom-placed Lucknow Super Giants a thrilling nine-run victory on Thursday.

Prince Yadav (3/33) and Shahbaz Ahmed (2/33) shared the spoils for LSG, while skipper Rajat Patidar top-scored for RCB with a fluent 61 off 31 balls. Multiple rain interruptions meant the match was reduced to a 19-overs-per-side affair.

Earlier, sent in to bat, Mitchell Marsh produced a sublime knock of 111 off 56 balls to snap LSG’s six-match losing streak. With this win, LSG have survived in the playoffs race. (
