Kurunegala Pelicans Sports Club won the championship and a cash prize of Rs. 2 million in the Champions League football tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Football Federation. Javalen, who came second in the Super Eight round of this league tournament in which 8 teams participated, won the runner-up and a cash prize of Rs. 1 million.
