NZ v AFG – Match 04 | ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

In the fourth match of the T20 World Cup at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai, New Zealand played against Afghanistan.
Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first. They posted a competitive total of 182 runs, thanks to captain Gulbadin Naib, who scored 63 runs with three fours and four sixes.
In reply, New Zealand chased down the big target comfortably, finishing the match with 13 balls to spare. Tim Seifert scored 63 runs, while Glenn Phillips added 42. New Zealand won the match by five wickets.
