The Sri Lankan team will play their first match of the Youth World Cup against Japan tomorrow (17) at the Namibia Cricket Stadium in Windhoek, Namibia, starting at 1.00 pm local time.
Wimath Dinsara will lead the Sri Lankan team, while Kazumo Kato-Stafford will captain the Japanese team.
The Sri Lankan team enters this tournament with a winning mentality. They won both of the practice matches they played before this tournament.
Both matches were interrupted by rain, but Sri Lankan players managed to win the match against South Africa by 12 runs according to the Duckworth-Lewis method and the match against Afghanistan held the day before yesterday by 7 runs.
