Siri Lions SC wins Dubai Sevens Cup twice

This year, the Siri Lions Sports Club once again made history at the Emirates Dubai 7s, proudly maintaining its mark as the first-ever Asian country to win this prestigious cup twice in its 53-year history.

The Siri Lions International Open Men’s Rugby Team delivered an exceptional performance, raising the flags of Sri Lanka, Fiji, France, Tonga, and South Africa with pride as they successfully defended their title and brought the Champions Cup home once again.

The team was led by Suliano Volivoli (Fiji National Player) while his vice captains were Corne Boland (South Africa) and Mohomed Nizran (Sri Lanka)

The Club also recognised the outstanding contribution of double national colour holder Simi Moala (Tonga and USA), as well as the dedication of coach Dileepa Peiris, who guided the team under the strategic advice of Dr. Kelum Sujith Perera and the Siri Lions International ExCom.

The Siri Lions International Open Men’s Rugby Team delivered a truly stellar performance, achieving an outstanding overall outcome at this year’s Emirates Dubai 7s.
