India rout Pakistan as spinners, Suryakumar shine

India secured a dominant seven-wicket win over Pakistan in a one-sided Asia Cup Group A league match on Sunday. Spinners Kuldeep Yadav (3/18) and Axar Patel (2/18) played a crucial role in limiting Pakistan to 127 for nine after Salman Agha chose to bat first.

In response, India chased down the target in 15.5 overs with captain Suryakumar Yadav (47 not out off 37 balls), Abhishek Sharma (31 off 13), and Tilak Varma (31 off 31) making significant contributions.

India set the tone early with Hardik Pandya dismissing Saim Ayub on the first legitimate delivery of the game and Jasprit Bumrah removing Mohammad Haris in the next over, leaving Pakistan struggling at 6 for 2.

Spinners Kuldeep and Axar then continued to trouble the Pakistani middle order with consistent wickets.

Sahibzada Farhan fought hard with a 40 off 44 balls, but the rest of the Pakistani batsmen faltered on a placid track. Shaheen Afridi managed to score an unbeaten 33 off 16 balls towards the end, helping Pakistan surpass 125.
