Bangladesh cruised to a comfortable 7-wicket win over Hong Kong in their Group B clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Thursday, September 11.
Opting to bowl first, Bangladesh restricted Hong Kong to 143/7 in 20 overs. Zeeshan Ali (30 off 34) and Nizakat Khan (42 off 40) tried to anchor the innings, but Tanzim Hasan Sakib (2/21), Taskin Ahmed (2/38) and Rishad Hossain (2/31) struck regularly to keep the batting side in check.
In reply, Litton Das led the chase with a fluent 59 off 39 balls, while Towhid Hridoy (35* off 36) ensured Bangladesh reached 144/3 in 17.4 overs. For Hong Kong, Ateeq Iqbal picked up two wickets, but the total proved insufficient.
