Indian cricket team may get new jersey sponsor before Asia Cup 2025 final

The Indian cricket team is set to start the Asia Cup 2025 without a shirt sponsor as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doesn’t expect a new jersey sponsor to be in place before 16 September 2025. The Indian cricket team is in search of a new lead sponsor after terminating its contract with Dream11.

BCCI ended its contract with Dream11 after the fantasy gaming app’s real-money offerings were banned by the Indian government through the Online Gaming Bill 2025. Dream11 had joined BCCI in 2023 on a Rs 358 crore three-year deal as it became the jersey sponsor for all Indian cricket teams, from senior to age groups and across genders

he BCCI, on Tuesday, launched the search for a new sponsor as it invited bids “from reputed entities for acquiring the National Team Lead Sponsor Rights.”

The Indian cricket board has issued an Invitation for Expression of Interest for National Team Lead Sponsor Rights (“IEOI”). Interested brands can acquire the IEOI by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 5 lakh plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax.
