RCB edged out Chennai Super Kings with a narrow 2-run win, knocking them out of the playoffs at RCB’s home ground.
Asked to bat first, King Kohli and Jacob Bethell built a strong 97-run partnership for the first wicket. Kohli scored 62, while Bethell added 55 to RCB’s total. Chennai Super Kings tried hard to restrict the score to under 180, but Romario Shepherd’s explosive 53 off just 14 balls pushed RCB to a big total of 213.
In reply, young player Ayush Mhatre played a brilliant knock of 94 runs, supported by Ravindra Jadeja’s unbeaten 77. Their efforts brought CSK close to victory, but RCB bowlers held their nerve and restricted CSK to 211, sealing a thrilling win.
