Weightlifter Chathuranga Lakmal wins first medal for Sri Lanka at CWG 2018

Chathuranga Lakmal won the bronze medal for Sri Lanka in weightlifting at the 21st Commonwealth Games held in Australia this morning.

He competed in the 56kg category, lifting a total weight of 248kg.

Malaysian weightlifter Muhammad Azroy won the gold medal lifting a total weight of 261kg and Indian weightlifter Gururaja won the silver medal lifting a total weight of 249kg.
