27th Air Force Cycling Tour begins on the 27th

The 27th Air Force Cycling Tour, organized in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Air Force, will be held from the 27th of this month to the 1st of March.

The main objective of this competition, organized in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Cycling Federation, is to encourage competitive participation among cyclists and to promote cycling in the country.

The total distance of this 3-day race is 424.2 kilometers. The first stage of the race, which will start from Negombo on the 27th, will be 133.4 kilometers long and will pass through Kochchikade, Madampe, Chilaw, Madurankuliya and reach Puttalam. The second stage, which will be held on the 28th, will be 143.1 kilometers long and will pass through Karuwalagaswewa, Thalawa, Kekirawa and reach Dambulla.

The race, which starts from Dambulla on the third and final day, will pass through Moragolla, Kurunegala, Mirigama, Miriswatte, Delgoda, Koswatte and end near the Air Force Headquarters. Its distance is 147.7 kilometers. A peace ride of 2.5, 3.2 and 6 kilometers respectively will also be held on these three days.
