Batting first, South Africa were powered by Aiden Markram’s brilliant 59 off 32 balls. Ryan Rickelton (33), David Miller (39*), and Tristan Stubbs (34*) also played crucial roles to posted a commanding 213/4 in 20 overs.
Chasing 214, Canada never really got going. Navneet Dhaliwal’s 64 and Harsh Thaker’s 33 offered some hope, but wickets fell at regular intervals. South Africa bowlers dominated and Canada finished on 156/8, giving South Africa a comfortable 57 run win.
