The nominations for the Sri Lanka Athletics Association elections, which had been postponed indefinitely, were accepted by the Athletics Election Committee at the Sports Ministry yesterday.
A duel battle has been created for the position of chairman.
Former veteran athlete and former Athletics Chairman Sunil Gunawardena and athlete Wimal Wijesinghe, who graduated from Ananda College, Colombo, submitted their nominations yesterday for this year's athletics presidency.
