The Pakistan national team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in January next year to play a three-match T20I bilateral series.
All matches of the series will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium (RDICS), Sri Lanka Cricket announced on Tuesday (2).
The three T20Is will be played on 7, 9 and 11 January, SLC noted. Pakistan last toured Sri Lanka to play a T20I series in 2015 when they blanked their South Asian rivals 2-0 under former all-rounder Shahid Afridi.
The upcoming series will be only the 4th bilateral series between the two teams to be played here, with Pakistan yet to lose a series having won the inaugural one-off T20I match in 2009, and then drawing a two-match series 1-1 three years later.
Immediately after the T20I series against Pakistan, Sri Lanka is scheduled to host England for a three-match ODI and T20I series, in the run up to the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup in February-March 2026.
