NOC and CGA Sri Lanka launch relief collection drive

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC Sri Lanka) and the Commonwealth Games Association of Sri Lanka (CGA Sri Lanka) have launched an urgent humanitarian relief collection campaign as severe weather conditions continue to displace families and cause extensive damage across the country.

With many communities struggling to access clean water, hygiene supplies, and essential items, the organisations are urging the public, corporate partners, and wellwishers to contribute to the relief effort. Needed items include drinking water (any size), soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, towels, bed sheets and blankets, detergent or washing powder, sanitary napkins, and clean clothing.

Donations will be accepted at the Sri Lanka Olympic House, located at 100/9F, Independence Avenue, Colombo 07, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. All collected items will be handed over to the Sri Lanka Air Force in Ratmalana, which will take responsibility for distributing them directly to affected families in the hardest-hit regions.

NOC Sri Lanka and CGA Sri Lanka reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the nation during this crisis, standing in unity with communities impacted by the severe weather.
