The Colombo District team won the men's championship in the tug-of-war event at the 35th National Youth Games, while the Gampaha District team won the women's championship.
The Puttalam district was the runner-up in the men's event of this tournament held at the Maharagama National Youth Center, while the Gampaha district came in third place.
The women's runner-up and third place went to the Galle and Vavuniya district teams respectively.
