England defeated Sri Lanka by 89 runs to register their third consecutive win in the ICC Women’s World Cup. The visitors have climbed to the No.1 spot with six points from three contests. Chasing 254 runs, the Lankans were dismissed for 164 in 45.4 overs at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Harshitha Samarawickrama, who scored 33 runs, was the top run-getter for her team. Sophie Ecclestone took 4 wickets and conceded just 17 runs. Nat Sciver-Brunt scored a hundred and took 2 wickets. The England captain was named the Player of the Match.
