Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Indika Gamage will step onto the track for his final event at the World Para Athletics Championship in New Delhi tomorrow. He will compete in the Men’s T46 Long Jump Finals at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, hoping to leave a strong mark in his last appearance of the tournament.
Despite facing a setback in the Men’s T46 100m earlier in the championship, where he fell short of qualifying for the finals, Gamage remains determined and focused. This final attempt presents him with another chance to showcase his talent and resilience on the international stage.
The Sri Lankan sprinter, who has already brought pride to his country with past achievements—including a bronze medal in Japan in 2024—is looking forward to closing his campaign with a memorable performance. His determination and fighting spirit continue to inspire many back home and within the para athletics community.
