Sri Lanka secured the three-match T20 series 2–1 after defeating Zimbabwe by 8 wickets in the final game played in Harare yesterday (7).
Skipper Charith Asalanka won the toss and decided to field first.
Zimbabwe, batting first, reached 191 for 8 in their 20 overs.
Tadiwanash Marumani top-scored with 51, while Sikandar Raza made 28.
Sean Williams contributed 23 before being dismissed early.
For Sri Lanka, Dushan Hemantha starred with 3 wickets, while Dushmantha Chameera picked up 2.
In reply, Sri Lanka’s openers Kusal Mendis (30) and Pathum Nissanka (33) gave a solid start with a 58-run stand.
The chase was then dominated by Kamil Mishara and Kusal Janith Perera, who shared an unbeaten 117-run partnership for the third wicket.
Mishara struck his maiden T20I half-century, finishing on 73 not out, while Perera remained unbeaten on 46.
Sri Lanka comfortably reached the target of 192 in 17.4 overs, sealing the victory and clinching the series.
