Amid unlawful bombing attacks by the Israeli regime on Iran’s residential areas, Iran’s sports community mourns the death of 42 athletes and sports figures from various sports disciplines, and more than 50 others have been injured, according to statistics by the Iranian Ministry of Sports.
Iran’s Federations and clubs are now heavy with sorrow, mourning the families of the 42 victims.
ATTACK ON IRAN HANDBALL HQ The Israeli military bombed Iran’s Handball Federation’s Headquarters in Tehran on Monday. In this attack, the windows and ceiling of the president’s office were destroyed, and some championship cups were damaged. Furthermore, one of the Federation’s workers was injured and taken to the medical centre. Fortunately, the president of the federation, Alireza Pakdel, and all other employees are in good health.

ATTACK ON IRAN BROADCASTING The Iranian Sports Journalists Association condemns the recent deliberate attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), which resulted in the murder of journalists: Nima Rajabpour, news editor, and Masoumeh Azimi, a staff member of IRIB, along with several employees and journalists who were injured. Standing as a clear indication of the regime’s attempt to silence media independence and freedom of expression.

SPORTS MARYTERS Athletes from various sports, from the provinces of Lorestan, Tehran, Alborz, Kermanshah, Zanjan, Isfahan, South Khorasan, Kerman, Hamadan, East Azerbaijan, and Khuzestan were murdered by the Israeli regime.
