The Sri Lanka Football Federation has decided to give a bonus of Rs. 11.15 million to the Sri Lankan football players who defeated the Chinese Taipei team in the Asian Cup qualifiers.
Sri Lanka Football Federation President Jaswar Umar said that in the future, this amount will be distributed among 23 players in the Sri Lankan football team, at a rate of 500,000 rupees each.
He said that Sri Lankan players have moved up a few places in the FIFA world football rankings to 196th place after a remarkable 3-1 win over Chinese Taipei
Meanwhile, while all South Asian countries were defeated by their opponents in the Asian Cup qualifying round, much attention is being focused on Sri Lanka’s victory.
