In Asian Youth Netball lung-opener: SL to meet India on 27 June

Sri Lanka is set to meet India in the first match of the 13th Asian Youth Netball Championship 2025 on 27 June in South Korea.

Afterwards Sri Lanka is scheduled to play against Malaysia, on the following date (28), Singapore on 29 June and Hong Kong on 1 July, respectively.

The tournament is to be organised by Netball Asia (NA) in conjunction with the South Korean Netball Association (SKNA), with the involvement of 12 nations in the region. The Asian Youth Netball Championship is slated to end on 4 July.

Sri Lanka has already named a 12-member strong squad in preparation for the forthcoming competition and it has been sent to Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage for approval.

Sri Lanka is set to vie for honours from Group A, alongside Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Brunei Darussalam.

Chinese Taipei, Japan, South Korea, Pakistan, Maldives and Saudi Arabia, are due to contest the event from Group B.

Malaysia clinched the title during the previous edition held two years ago, with Singapore ending as the runners-up and Sri Lanka third.
