India handed Sri Lanka a 97 run drubbing to win the servo cup triangular final at the Premadasa Stadium in front of a sparse local crowd.
The visitors dominated after winning the toss with Sri Lankan bowlers holding no terrors.
Rawal and Mandhana put on 70 which launched the innings that ended up at 342 as the second highest total ever in a women’s triangular final.

Mandhana showed her class with her eleventh ODI 100 and the first against Sri Lanka. Her 116 came off 101 balls studded with fifteen fours and two sixes. Deol, Captain Kaur and Jemima Rodrigues all chipped in with 40s to put a possible chase from the locals only a distant possibility.

Sri Lankan bowlers erred in length and line and the fielding faltered at most important moments to let India retain momentum

Sri Lankan chase suffered the inauspicious start with Hasini Perera being bowled off Kaur’s third ball in the opening over.

Captain Atapattu and Vishmi Gunaratne put on 68 for the second. The slide began when Gunaratne played on and the third wicket partnership of 53 between the skipper and Nilakshika Silva ended when Sneh Rana bowled the Lankan captain for 51 off 66 balls.

Thereafter the efforts of Harshitha Samarawickrama and the rest were mere formalities as India romped home quite easy.
