Amid escalating tensions, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to shift the remainder of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 to United Arab Emirates.
The 10th edition of the PSL began on 11 February, and 26 matches have been completed so far. However, due to the current geopolitical situation, the final eight matches – including four league games and four playoff fixtures – will no longer be played in Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore as originally planned. Instead, these fixtures will now take place in UAE.
The tipping point came when the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, scheduled for 8 May in Rawalpindi, was cancelled. Reports suggest that drone strikes damaged key infrastructure near the stadium, prompting the PCB to take precautionary action.
