After a break due to the pandemic, the Hill Club Open tennis tournament resumed in 2023, a key event in Sri Lanka’s tennis circuit, drawing participants from various regions. Hosted at the Hill Club Nuwara Eliya, this year’s tournament saw over 400 participants showcase their talents.
The historic Hill Club, Nuwara Eliya which was established in 1876, provided the backdrop for this tournament which brought together talented players, families and tennis enthusiasts to celebrate both skill and sportsmanship.
The spirit of competition and community shined bright at the tournament with current National champions Apna Perera and Dinara De Silva defending their Men’s and Women’s Open Singles titles respectively.
